In an effort to drive more lending activity for its credit union owners, Xtend, Inc., the Grand Rapids, Michigan-based multi-owned cooperative CUSO, announced it will embark on a series of quarterly outbound call campaigns beginning in February. Each campaign is designed to drive member awareness of the credit union’s loan products and rates by targeting members and co-borrowers with loans at other financial institutions. Participating credit unions work with the CUSO’s Xtension Call Center to develop the call lists and applicable product offerings before turning over to CUSO agents to execute the member contact and lead initiation process.
Xtend President Scott Collins says, “We have spent the past several years proving to our credit union owners that outbound calls to members are an extremely effective way to drive member awareness of their products and services. Moreover, we know that many of our owners are resourced challenged due to an increasing regulatory workload on their team. We considered that a mandate to develop a low-cost, high-focus solution that leverages our CUSO resources and tools.”
Collins concludes by noting, “Our 2014 program – which we are calling HyperDrive – is a quarterly call program designed to increase the amount of revolving, real estate and auto loan opportunities in the credit union’s loan pipeline. The concept is simple – identify members that fit the credit union’s criteria, deliver an HTML email to get their attention, follow with an outbound call and start the loan application process for non-real estate leads. We are even incorporating lobby signage to help re-enforce each campaign and let members know that we want their business.”
