CU*NorthWest, a data processing CUSO serving the Northwest announced today it has added another owner to the ranks. Spokane Law Enforcement Credit Union (SLECU), located in Spokane Washington, representing 2200 members and over $34 million in credit union assets, has purchased stock to become an owner of the CUSO. Although ownership is not a requirement for purchasing products or services from CU*NorthWest, most credit unions have chosen to participate as owners.
Spokane Law Enforcement Credit Union recently converted to CU*NorthWest for core processing from Users in October of 2008.
Ownership does require that a credit union have a core processing contract with the CUSO. CU*NorthWest now has 10 owners and expects to add another in the next 90 days.
