CU*BASE GOLD Release Continues Internet Retailer Commitment

Becoming an internet retailer will be essential for a thriving financial institution of the future. CU*NorthWest and the cuasterisk.com network are aggressively expanding solutions in this space and setting new solution foundations for a core centric integrated suite like no other.

“We have been positioning our solutions with an internet retailer mindset for a couple of years now and take another important step with 15.3 CU*BASE® release on December 6,” said Greg Smith, CU*NorthWest CEO. Smith continued, “We have already launched a foundation strategy for secure internet document exchange at no charge to our clients through Virtual StrongBox (VSB); are making extensive enhancements to the capabilities of our mobile banking technologies; providing for more synchronized support and messaging through multiple channels to the member; and will soon release online account and membership opening technologies, all integrated to the core and available to our clients as general release.”

One of the important features in this release are additional launch points to other web pages throughout It’s Me 247 online banking. A credit union can be a central source to find important resources on the internet for a member and anticipate, respond and capitalize on what a member may be “shopping” for. These links can be used to promote vendors or websites the members may want to pursue (perhaps even the credit union’s own website). There will be twenty-four opportunities to add launch points in eight different locations of It’s Me 247. “Shifting the focus from online and mobile technologies being simply member self service to a focus of retailing is an important one for our clients to thrive in the future,” added Smith.

Additional features also being premiered in the 15.3 CU*BASE release include extending automated non-returns to share accounts through teller processing, the addition of a new budgetary modeling tool, and the addition of a share and certificate portfolio dashboard.
