CU*Answers’ Win the Lottery program welcomes its fifty-second employee in December

In the first three months of the 2021 business year four additional employees have joined CU*Answers’ Win the Lottery program, bringing the total number of participants to fifty-two. Through their participation in the Win the Lottery program, senior employees work with a Writing Team member to add specialized knowledge to CU*Answers documentation.

“This is an effort that has paid off in big dividends for our digital documentation efforts,” said Dawn Moore, Vice President Writing Team/Product Design. “The more we can get things out of peoples’ heads and written down, so everyone has access to it, the more everybody benefits.”

New employees are tackling writing internal documentation on existing software systems with the goal of lowering the time takes to onboard new hires. Other members of Win the Lottery have worked on internal and external client-facing documentation on a wide range of subjects including analytics, tax handling, credit card processing, and lending. Most departments at CU*Answer have had at least one member of their team participate in the program.

Employees generally remain in the program for a year, with many renewing their participation as an annual goal.
