CU*Answers updates email strategy for promoting University courses

CU*Answers, the 100% credit union-owned, data processing CUSO, recently made changes to the emails used to promote each month’s University courses. Prior to April 2018, these emails provided an overview of all courses that would be offered to clients during the upcoming month, with some exceptions like product demos or similarly-focused webinars.

In an effort to provide more streamlined and focused offerings to clients, separate ‘spin-off’ emails were introduced, each of which places a spotlight on the CU*Answers department(s) hosting multiple webinar or classroom events during the upcoming month. These ‘spin-off’ emails are sent in conjunction with the primary University course overview emails. For example, for the April University courses, CU*Answers sent out three emails: one for Asterisk Intelligence, one for the Internet Retailer Support Center, and a third email that compiled the remaining courses not covered by the other two emails.

Andrew MacMillan, communications coordinator for the CU*Answers Writing team, hopes this will present clients with a more intuitive overview of the University courses, and that they will be able to more easily determine which courses would be most relevant or beneficial for their staff to attend.
