CU*Answers to offer temporary instant-issue cards in February

CU*Answers announced that it will soon begin supporting temporary-to-permanent instant-issue debit cards. This new offering, which comes through the CUSO’s card-processing partner, Vantiv, will be available beginning in February.

“We are excited to work with Vantiv to offer this service to credit unions,” said Heather French, CU*Answers VP of Managed Services/SettleMINT. Beginning next month, members of credit unions that do not offer instant issue cards, and that contact SettleMINT and Vantiv to launch this service will no longer have to be without a debit card while they wait for their new card to arrive. “This will allow members to receive a generic card on the spot while waiting for their permanent card to arrive in the mail,” French explained. This change will make card issuance more convenient for members and cheaper for credit unions. “This service is much less costly than a true instant-issue solution,” French pointed out. This change comes in response to client requests and is just another way that CU*Answers shows its cooperative spirit and dedication to clients.
