CU*Answers, a credit union service organization and data processor for close to 200 credit unions nationwide, is using its vast network of credit unions to promote the cooperative spirit. Among its initiatives to promote cooperatives and all they stand for is its endorsement of Co-Ops for Change, a grassroots movement that is raising awareness of the need for regulatory leadership that supports cooperative principles.

As part of that endorsement, CU*Answers helped raise nearly 6,000 signatures for a White House petition developed to encourage President Obama to elect NCUA leaders who understand cooperatives. The data processor also helped gather survey responses regarding the NCUA exam and regulatory priorities. CU*Answers marketing team also developed and disseminated marketing materials to their client credit unions that explain and promote the seven cooperative principles so members understand the benefits that they receive as members of a cooperative.
