Today marked the completion of a major technology upgrade at the CU*Answers 44th Street Production Center in Kentwood, Michigan. The Grand Rapids-based CUSO migrated its primary production system overnight to a new server, an IBM i POWER 7 model 770s and migrated to a new IBM operating system in the process (IBM OS 7.1).
The technology director at one client site said, “I just wanted to say Awesome Job to you and your team. I know what is involved in the switch to a new server.” The Production Center Business Development Manager, Jeff Miller, commented by saying that this was a big jump forward in technology and stated, “We are fortunate to have a team of talented and dedicated people that are involved in realizing a complex project like the system migration. We are equally fortunate to have clients who understand the cooperative work and dedication that goes into helping them achieve their goals.”
