CU*Answers Online University provides instructional presentation on Disaster Recovery and Business Resumption Planning

As part of their commitment to their network of 200+ credit union clients, CU*Answers, a cooperative CUSO, provides professional education courses (classroom and web-based) on topics relevant to the needs and current events of the industry. Included in the series of courses offered on the topic of Information Security, interest in Disaster Recovery and Business Resumption continues to grow.

On October 8, a one-hour web-based course titled “Business Continuity Planning” was presented, designed as an overview of the five-phased approach from start to finish for the development and implementation of an effective business continuity management program based on industry standards and guidelines, scalable for credit unions of all sizes.

Designed for credit union professionals responsible for continuity risk and/or the development and maintenance of their credit union’s disaster recovery plans, these courses are created and presented around a framework for building organizational resilience and the capabilities for an effective response. Courses on Business Continuity Management are presented by Jim Lawrence, CBCP, Manager of Disaster Recovery and Business Resumption Services at CU*Answers.
