CU*Answers, the cooperative CUSO headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, recently hosted more than three-dozen industry professionals at its 11th Annual Sales Team Meeting at Watermark Country Club in Cascade, Michigan. The two-day meeting was focused on the tactical efforts of the CUSO’s core data processing and CU*Answers Management Services sales teams. This year’s event was co-hosted by Geoff Johnson, CU*Answers’ President and Chief Operations Officer and Scott Collins, its Executive Vice President of National Sales and Marketplace Relationships.
In summarizing the event, Collins said, “For the eleventh straight year, we brought leaders from all of our business development teams together for two days of reporting and brainstorming. Although this year’s event was a touch smaller than 2019, it was great to have everyone there in person after a 2020 event that was limited to web-only due to the pandemic.”
My biggest takeaways from this year’s meeting were, first, a great sense of pride that our business developers were walking the cooperative talk by being laser focused on their customer-owners – the 300+ credit unions across the country that leverage our core suite, and secondly, the talented and diverse group of professionals that are vested in the credit union industry. We were also excited to once again have members from our Board of Directors join us for the two days to provide insight from both the Board and their individual credit unions.”
