CU*Answers, the Grand Rapids, Michigan-based cooperative CUSO, recently participated in the 6th Annual Credit Unions of Maui charity golf tournament at the Kahili Golf Club in Wailuku on Maui. During the wrap-up luncheon, event organizers shared that the event had raised more than $30,000 for the Hale Makua Health Services charity, which was a record amount.
EVP of National Sales and Marketplace Relationships for CU*Answers, Scot Collins said: “We were thrilled to participate in the Maui Charity Outing for the first time. The outing was another great example of credit unions giving back to their local community, and we were proud to be one of the sponsors. When one of the organizers indicated that they were a bit short of their $30K goal, we let them know we would match the winning bid if they had an auction designed to get them to their goal. As expected, the attendees stepped up to the challenge and the goal was reached.”
Collins added, “Congratulations to the Maui Chapter for their execution of the event. From start to finish it was a well-oiled machine and we look forward to future events with our industry partners on the island.”
