CU*Answers, the 100% credit union-owned data processing CUSO, is now allowing credit union staff to assign a member’s account number for members who apply for membership online. The CU*Answers membership application process—free to all CU*Answers credit unions—allows potential members to apply for membership and that membership flows into the CU*BASE^® system with no re-keying necessary so that the membership can be opened and the member number assigned by the credit union staff opening the membership. Per Mike Gruber, regional sales representative, “the ability to assign a number to the new membership in CU*BASE has been there for years, but the ability to assign a number for the online applications of potential members is a quality of life addition for clients.”
