CU*Answers Enhances Member Branch Reassignment for Geographic Location

West Michigan-based core data processor, CU*Answers, recently announced that with the December 14.4 release of its CU*BASE® core platform, it had enhanced its existing member branch reassignment tool to use geographic location. Currently, credit unions have the ability to reassign members to the branches they use most often. With the release, CUs will also be able to reassign members to the nearest branch within a specified number of miles.

The system uses member demographics analysis to calculate the distance between members and branches/ATM locations. The feature was originally designed for credit unions to better plan branch/ATM location expansion, but the CUSO is finding further uses with the information.
