CU*Answers engages IBM for new development server planning

CU*Answers, the Grand Rapids, Michigan-based cooperative CUSO, is in the process of replacing its primary development server environment with a state of the art POWER9 processor from IBM. Because of the complex environment that the CUSO has deployed for its current IBM platform, they have engaged systems engineers from IBM to help develop the final spec for its new development infrastructure.

Scott Collins, EVP of National Sales and Marketplace Relationships for CU*Answers said: “This past fall we replaced our production and high availability server environments with new IBM POWER9 technology. Through a combined effort with IBM and its distribution partner, Mainline, our team was able to complete a smooth cutover. Following that project, we felt it was important to once again leverage the specialists at IBM to help prepare a specification that would take our development environment to the next level as well. Over the next two weeks, our internal team will be completing the final phase of the installation by following the roadmap that was co-developed with IBM. We appreciate the assistance of our business partners, and we look forward to a successful cut-over.”

Collins also noted that the new development environment is scheduled to be live shortly after the first of the year.
