CU*Answers, the 100% credit union-owned CUSO, headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan recently announced the formation of the Communi7y Crew, a peer group created as a result of the CU*Answers Innovators Group.
The group’s mission statement identifies the Communi7y Crew as a group formed by the cuasterisk.com network to promote the spirit of the 7 Cooperative Principles which are the foundation of all credit unions. The group’s engagements include efforts to encourage employees, their families, and friends in the active participation of charitable community events. The group’s inaugural event will be “Run Willard Run,” a community walk/run established by a family member of a CU*Answers employee after their father was stricken by cancer. The Communi7y Crew is supporting the event by assisting in a group marketing initiative to obtain volunteers and by hosting a bake sale. All contributions will be given to the event coordinators of Run Willard Run and will be utilized to benefit cancer research.
