The West Michigan-based provider of CU*BASE core data processing and other services recently announce a 10% price decrease for online ATM/Debit transactions, effective October 1, 2011. Total savings for all online processing CU*BASE credit unions equates to approximately $341,000 over the 2012 business year.

CU*Answers says that credit unions utilizing their online credit card processing services in addition to ATM/Debit card processing will see the per transaction fee decrease to $0.0563, while credit unions that have not opted for online credit card processing with CU*BASE will see the per transaction fee decrease to $0.0608.

These savings were revealed during the CUSO’s 2011 Annual Leadership Conference, during which time Randy Karnes, CUSO CEO prompted attendees to consider whether the businesses within their [credit union] communities are healthy, and what can be done to increase our ‘GCUP’ or Gross Credit Union Product indicator. He also said that the biggest goal needs to be expanding opportunity and creating the highest GCUP for everyone.
