Element Federal Credit Union located in Charleston, West Virginia is now offering its members DigitalMailer’s My Virtual StrongBox product. The product allows members to upload important documents such as wills, trusts, medical records and identification, etc. to their own “virtual strongbox” where they are securely stored and available for retrieval via the Internet. This provides members a great service to protect their important documents from physical peril, while at the same time providing accessibility and security all through a trusted source, their credit union.
To accomplish this, CU*Answers, Element FCU’s core data processing vendor, created a single sign on process for members to access their virtual strongbox through CU*Answers’ It’s Me 247 online banking product. For the credit union this is a differentiator and is a “sticky” service that works to retain members through its value.
