CU*Answers Chooses Site-Four for Collocation

Yankton, SD – January 6, 2015

Site-Four, a CUSO member of the cuasterisk.com network, is happy to announce that CU*Answers, a credit union core data processor, has chosen Site-Four’s facility for their disaster recovery solution. The project is estimated to be completed by the end of 2016. This relationship will allow CU*Answers to further extend their existing backup solution. Site-Four’s state of the art facility offers the redundant capabilities for cooling, power, and communication sought after by CU*Answers to ensure their future plans stay in tune with being able to offer continued services to its 170+ credit unions.

Tim Kenney, Site-Four CIO said, “We are excited to work with CU*Answers to have this project completed by the end of 2016. Together we continue to push each other and raise the bar in our industry for providing continued services during ideal and not so ideal conditions and situations. The power and strength of the cuasterisk.com family will continue to grow and benefit in ways not yet realized with this relationship.”

As part of an ongoing business continuity program, CU*Answers (a 100% credit union-owned CUSO based in Grand Rapids, MI) actively maintains a high-availability (HA) core-processing environment with real-time data replication between identical servers located at geographically dispersed, state-of-the-art datacenters. To test the capabilities of the HA environment, regular rollover events are performed to redirect CU*BASE® core-processing and operations from the primary production facility to the secondary datacenter for a period covering multiple business days. At the completion of each event, core-processing is redirected back to the primary location.
