The Electronic Document Strategies team from CU*Answers, the 100% credit union-owned cooperative CUSO, announced it had released a new feature to their CU*BASE® core processing system on December 9, 2013. Now, when a teller accesses a member account the member’s photo ID automatically pops in the teller screen. This feature decreases the likelihood of a member’s identity being compromised at the teller line as the teller sees the photo ID automatically. It also stops predators from presenting the teller with a counterfeit ID. As an added benefit, tellers no longer need to make extra clicks to view the ID so their workflow and efficiencies are improved.
Karen Browne President / CEO at TBA Credit Union in Traverse City, Michigan commented, “The staff at my branch love the ID’s popping up! Thank you!” “This feature is a win-win,” added John Beauchamp Electronic Document Strategies Manager at CU*Answers Management Services. “Not only does it improve member security, and mitigate risk for the credit union, but it improves member service through better workflow at the teller line.”
