CU*Answers attends IBM technology briefing

CU*Answers, the Grand Rapids, Michigan-based cooperative CUSO, recently attended an IBM invitation-only event in New York City that was designed specifically for the computer giant’s business partners and customers. The primary focus of the briefing was to preview IBM’s new POWER9 server architecture that is now being delivered to its clients worldwide.

“We are proud of our business partner relationship that we have had with IBM over the past two decades,” said Scott Collins, EVP of national sales and marketplace development for CU*Answers. “IBM POWER servers are a key part of the foundation that our cooperative uses to serve two million members daily, so staying engaged with their best practices and technology updates is a key part of our Strategic Technology Plan. IBM’s POWER servers have allowed us to provide tremendous system availability to our credit unions and their members, and we have no doubt that moving to their new POWER9 architecture in the coming year will allow us to leverage their technology in even more ways.”
