West Michigan-based cooperative CUSO, CU*Answers, recently announced that its 2013 South Dakota regional training event will be taking place on September 18 in Rapid City. During the event, regional credit unions will have the opportunity to meet with CU*Answers staff and spend a day learning various tips and best practices for the core data processing platform CU*BASE^®. Keegan Daniel, manager of the Gividends team at CU*Answers, will guide attendees through a variety of courses related to marketing and sales. Topics discussed will include using CU*BASE dashboards to perform deep data-mining and then using that information to contact members in a couple easy steps; best practices for email marketing; marketing clubs; tiered services, and more.

A CU*Answers representative added that the regional training events spawned as a result of the organization’s commitment to better education and documentation. Not all credit unions have the opportunity to make it to Grand Rapids for one of the many training events held by the CUSO, so CU*Answers takes the training to them. Currently, events are held in South Dakota, Wisconsin, Ohio, Northern Michigan, and the East Coast. These training events are supplemented by a number of available online courses, educational videos, and other specialized roundtable sessions.
