CU*Answers adds new opportunity to analyze channels members use to access online banking and mobile app

A recent software release from CU*Answers for It’s Me 247 Online Banking has brought new visibility to the ways credit union members engage with their online banking account. The Asterisk Intelligence team at CU*Answers is especially excited to share the analytical value of the data now being collected.

Analysts and report writers at credit unions can now find several new pieces of information to study – an authentication type and a login source. The data adds granularity for better understanding the preferences and channels that a member engages with when they log in to online banking. This recent enhancement is yet another example of software development that benefits credit union data analysts.

Keegan Daniel, vice president of Professional Services and leader of the Asterisk Intelligence team said: “We really feel CU*Answers and the CU*BASE® core are leading the pack with efforts to identify opportunity for integrating or collecting new data that credit union data analysts can utilize. The Asterisk Intelligence team is dedicated to identifying more opportunities like this one in the future. We are also committed to highlighting these efforts as they occur and developing strategies for credit unions to dissect valuable insights out of the new data when it becomes available.”

Data analysts can use the integrated CU*BASE Report Builder tool to see which type of authentication was used by the member when they accessed their online banking account. For example, they can differentiate between a standard username and password or any of the specific Mobile Authentication Convenience Options (MACO) including face ID, PIN, fingerprint, or voice ID.

An analyst can also now specify and segment any online banking analysis based on the source of the activity. Examples include a distinction between channels such as a desktop browser, a mobile browser, or the mobile app.
