CU*Answers, the Grand Rapids, Michigan-based Cooperative CUSO, announced that it had recently added another credit union owner. This newest owner is KALSEE Credit Union located in Kalamazoo, MI ($150M and 21,000 members).

Scott Page, CU*Answers EVP said, “With this newest investor, CU*Answers now has 121 credit union owners nationally, with a total of 14 new owners added during its 2013 fiscal year. This represents the largest single year of growth of new credit union owners since 2000, and the CUSO’s second largest in history. Additionally, three new credit union owners have already been added for its 2014 fiscal year, which started October 1, 2013.” Page continued, “A unique aspect to our Cooperative CUSO business model is that every CU*BASE^® client is provided an option to become a CU*Answers owner. Not only has CU*Answers stock ownership provided a solid historical return on investment, but each owner is provided an equal voting privilege, including the option of being nominated and voting for the CU*Answers Board of Directors.
