Conference Attendees Donate to Community Charities

Grand Rapids, MI – July 1st, 2011
The West Michigan-based provider and 100% credit union-owned CUSO recently announced that attendees of its annual user group donated funds to community charities in lieu of receiving gifts.

CU*Answers held its 20th Annual Leadership Conference and related events June 21 – 23, at its Grand Rapids-based headquarters and the Frederik Meijer Gardens. To coincide with this year’s event theme, “My Credit Union is My Community,” conference attendees each received a “check” for $10.00 and were able to chose from five community-related charities of which to sign their donation.

The popular choice was Credit Unions for Kids which received $650.00. Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics, Salvation Army and Big Brothers Big Sisters all received donations which totaled $810.00.
