eDOC Innovations, a leading e-commerce Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) based in Vermont, continued its steady growth in mobile remote deposit capture (Mobile RDC) enrollment as several credit unions added the service to their mobile banking strategy. Introduced in 2016 to a handful of credit union early adopters, CheckLogic Mobile was initially a built-in collaboration with one of eDOC’s partners, CU*Answers. Leveraging eDOC’s ability to integrate with any core provider’s mobile banking app, CheckLogic Mobile addresses a credit union member’s need to remotely deposit checks and uses single sign-on technology for added security. This service empowers the member by providing them with check deposit capabilities via a smart device without the need to step into a branch lobby.
In the first half of fiscal year 2021, eDOC added 20 credit unions to its growing group of Mobile RDC users, outpacing the total 2020 fiscal year enrollment of 34 credit unions. The steady growth is mostly driven by the changing social norms and practices brought on by the pandemic.
“CheckLogic Mobile, integrated with the core’s mobile banking app, is a very convenient way for members to conduct business without having to drive down to the branch. These types of convenient solutions add value to credit unions that will surely enhance overall loyalty to the establishment,” explained Karen Chesbro, VP of Item Processing at CU*Answers. “Added features of the solution, including near-real-time posting of deposits to a member’s account, automate the process and allow credit union resources be directed toward more pressing needs for credit union members.”
