Changes in CU*BASE architecture paves the way for new application development options

CU*Answers’ data center group, OpsEngine, has started a new project that will make significant changes in the architecture of CU*BASE, allowing capabilities that were previously limited. Jeffrey Miller, OpsEngine business development manager explains, “One of the great strengths of CU*Answers is its foundation in a collaborative partnership with its owners and other network partners, such as CU*NorthWest and CU*SOUTH. However, differentiation in application capabilities was restricted to some degree because of the underlying architecture of our environment. The goal of this project is to open that up so that projects for CU*Answers written by partners will be simpler to beta test and roll out. Unique applications will now be available as well. This will be a major step for our partnership network.” The project is already under way but will continue throughout 2021.
