AuditLink, the audit and compliance division of CU*Answers, hosted its Conversations on Compliance event in Madison, Wisconsin on August 21, 2019. It was held on the campus of the Credit Union National Association (CUNA). “We had attendees representing credit unions from Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan,” said Marvin Johnson, AuditLink assistant manager. “We were really pleased by another good turnout.”

Ilene Fritschler, CEO of Madison Credit Union (Madison, WI) said: “The subject matter and information provided at the event were timely and relevant. The way theory and application were incorporated into each presentation as well as the live demo of various CU*BASE tools was very informative.”

Jim Vilker, AuditLink leader and VP of Professional Services for CU*Answers, presented on BSA risk assessment methodology, the importance of internal control fundamentals and compliance related CU*BASE^® releases and tools, CU*Answers’ core processing platform. A live demonstration of under-utilized and/or unknown tools was also performed to show the value-add in compliance efforts. Jim stated, “This content is always developed based on current challenges for compliance and audit related professionals and it’s encouraging to see how the event continues to grow each year. Based on the unique shared execution services we provide, AuditLink has become a centralized intelligence unit for the entire cooperative which then translates to diverse and relevant training content.”
