This month, the Asterisk Intelligence team announced the publication of a new Data Warehouse guide that provides a detailed overview of the tools and products offered by the team. Products such as the FILExxDW warehouse, which gives credit unions the opportunity to create an in-house data warehouse to which they can import files for further use within CU*BASE^®, and the SnapShot warehouse, which takes a snapshot of all files during end-of-day processing to use for research and analytics, are highlighted and discussed.

The guide, which is published on the CU*Answers CU*BASE Reference page, provides an overview of the terminology associated with a data warehouse, as well as shows what data warehouses already exist that CU*BASE users may not have realized they already possessed. The manual guides prospective database administrators on how to acquire and set-up a data warehouse, as well as provides current users of the product information about how to use their data warehouse, the timing of file transfers, and the effect of high-availability rollovers on the availability of data.
