Credit Unions may have heard from their EFT provider about a new mandate referred to as the Visa Account Updater (VAU) and Mastercard’s Automatic Billing Updater (ABU). This mandate allows merchants to automatically update their customers’ stored card details. In other words, when a new card is created to replace an old one, that information is passed to the merchants as well. In the CU*Answers 18.10 CU*BASE® release CU*Answers is moving in all the changes needed for CU*BASE to complete the batch maintenance testing with all vendors, then will work to certify the process, one vendor at a time.
