On March 20, 2018, CU*Answers conducted a brainstorming session with over 70 credit unions regarding the major overhaul of the 5300 Call Report that the NCUA is proposing for March 2019. The overall theme is modernization and simplification to reduce the quarterly reporting burden. The information provided in the webinar encouraged credit unions to review the changes in detail and comment directly to the NCUA before April 2nd.
Karen Sorensen, 5300 Call Report project coordinator said, “We are researching the NCUA’s proposed changes along with the credit unions and are prepared to modify our software tools as needed.”
