CU*Answers to hold RIM Awareness Week during National Records and Information Month in April

CU*Answers, the 100% credit-union owned cooperative CUSO, will be celebrating National Records and Information Month by holding RIM Awareness Week from April 16-20. Managing information effectively is critical to every organization’s success, from the CUSO to the credit union. RIM Awareness Week will focus on best practices for information management.

One team in particular, CU*Answers Client Services and Education, has gone above and beyond, working over the last six months to improve its internal practices, to get rid of paper documents, and decrease the amount of disk space they are using on servers.  Laura Welch-Vilker, VP of Client Services and Education said: “Martha Anderson, account executive, has been our primary lead as we work with our internal teams developing best practices and actually getting the work done. It’s been a large but rewarding project, and we’ve emptied all our file drawers of paper documents and are now storing them in our corporate imaging vault. We have best practices for all types of documents, which include when each type gets purged from the vault. This is exciting as the purge process is automatic based on the purge date we assign to each document.”
