CU*Answers holds 6th annual Continuity Awareness Day

On January 24, 2018, CU*Answers held its 6th annual corporate “Continuity Awareness Day”. This is an essential component of its business continuity awareness and training program which helps to strengthen department and personal preparedness levels. It also helps in sharpening response capabilities across all business units.

“It is imperative that all employees are aware of their roles and responsibilities during a disruption,” said Danielle Caliendo, CBCP, business continuity coordinator at CU*Answers. “A quick response to any disruption of business operations is crucial to an effective recovery. What is the value in having a business continuity plan if nobody knows what is inside the plan and his/her role in the recovery process? People make things happen, not plans.”

Business continuity awareness and training is an integrated part of normal daily operations at CU*Answers, beginning with the onboarding process for each new employee and continuing education classes and exercises for seasoned staff. Information regarding the CU*Answers Business Continuity programs including tips for credit unions to improve their level of preparedness can be found on the CU*Answers website.
