CU*Answers Asks Clients “Remember This?”

These days software enhancements come at such a breakneck pace that it’s easy to have a feature pass through the cracks and miss implementation simply because the credit union didn’t know it was available to them. Core data processor CU*Answers is trying to address this with its monthly Remember This? series.

Each month the CUSO sends out information about an existing CU*BASE feature that credit unions may have missed in a past release. “We have three to four major software upgrades a year, on top of a couple other minor releases; it’s easy for credit unions to miss something that might have been a huge lift to their operations,” says Scott Page, EVP of Sales. “The Remember This? series addresses this by pointing our credit unions back to some of those feature enhancements.”

The December edition reminds credit unions of the Currently Serving feature of CU*BASE that makes it easy for teller to quickly serve joint owner, co-borrowers, and non-members while honoring the primary owner’s wishes regarding non-owner account access. It limits what account information a teller can share and the transactions they can perform when serving an individual who is not the primary member on an account. The feature even limits what’s printed on the receipt.
