CUSO Offers Popular Year End Bookkeeping Assistance

In late November, the SRS Bookkeeping team from Xtend, Inc., the Grand Rapids, Michigan-based multi-owned cooperative CUSO, announced that it would provide free assistance with year-end tasks to any credit union utilizing CU*BASE®, the core data processing suite deployed by sister CUSOs CU*Answers, CU*Northwest and CU*SOUTH.  Upon completion of the projects, Xtend announced that a total of 37 credit unions had taken them up on their offer.

Diane Kilgore, Manager of Xtend’s SRS Bookkeeping Business Unit said, “If memory serves me correctly, this is the 7th consecutive year that our team has offered to help our partners close out their books.  Back then, it was just myself and a couple team members providing the assistance.  Now I have a team of nine folks, and we provide varying levels of support for more than one hundred credit unions.  The year-end assistance is just one way to say ‘thank you’ to the credit unions in our network, and I am proud that so many tapped us on the shoulder.”

Xtend President Scott Collins added, “When we first offered year-end assistance, it was for two reasons:  it helped credit unions manage the process of closing out their books, and it gave Xtend exposure that we could be a trusted back office partner.  Today, our SRS team is a known entity by the credit unions in the network, so this is our way of giving back to our cooperative partners.”
