CU*NorthWest and Xtend Inc. (headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI), both Cooperative CUSOs within the cuasterisk.com network, are working together to better serve their clients. As part of a recent facilities expansion, CU*NorthWest expanded capacity to not only increase internal operations, but to host Xtend resources at its Liberty Lake, Washington location. The first Xtend service for regional expansion is Xtension call center operators who are providing both inbound and outbound call center services to credit unions and CUSO’s nationwide.
“This is a pilot project for regional resource extension and further development of tight integration between CU*BASE® GOLD core processing delivered by CU*NorthWest and the enhanced execution services provided by Xtend”, said Greg Smith, CEO of CU*NorthWest. “CU*NorthWest and its direct clients use many Xtend services every day and there are numerous potential advantages to some regionally housed resources for key services – we are starting with call center operators but are also considering regional bookkeeping services as well”.
Xtend President Scott Collins noted, “We are excited about this latest collaborative effort with our partners at CU*NorthWest. Both teams are focused on creative ways to leverage our collective assets so that our customer-owners can serve their members more effectively. Greg is building a great team of credit union professionals in the northwest, so it makes sense for us to get even more creative on resource sharing as both CUSOs expand.”
Xtend offers an array of ancillary services for CU*NorthWest and its clients including call center support, bookkeeping, compliance, marketing, and advertising execution services. CU*NorthWest has the capacity to onboard additional Xtend resources within the next 18-24 months based upon the needs of the market.
