CU*Answers, the 100% credit union-owned cooperative CUSO, recently reminded credit unions on its CU*BASE^® core processing platform of the ability to easily survey members via online banking. In the November edition of the CUSO’s “Remember This?” education series, credit unions can learn more about how to easily configure a survey, post it to It’s Me 247 Online Banking, and view the results. Using the tool, credit unions can gather member input on key decisions that affect them. As online survey tools become a more popular method of crowd sourcing, CU*Answers wanted to remind its credit unions that they already have that ability at their fingertips.

Due to the tool’s flexibility and configuration options, credit unions on the CU*BASE platform have also used the tool to supplement their board elections, creating a cheaper, more secure way to collect member votes.

A CU*Answers representative stated that the education series is meant to remind credit unions that sometimes the tools they need are already available to them; they’ve just been lost in the shuffle of what’s new.
