CU*Answers has recently launched a project to enhance its suite of Loan Participation tools in the CUSO’s CU*BASE^® core data processing platform. The CUSO published news about the project via a recipe on their website’s “Kitchen” page, where updates are posted on key projects being pushed through the development queue. The project will add a new feature to the existing dashboard credit unions use to package a group of loans for sale to an investor, allowing the credit union to automatically finalize the sale and set up the participations in CU*BASE.

Charlie Rogers, CU*Answers Management Consultant and expert in loan participations, said, “Although the existing Package Loans to be Sold tool does have a link to the participation loan system, each loan must be created manually. The new automated process will eliminate this tedious manual entry. We’re excited about this great improvement to this very popular tool.”
