CU*Answers, the 100% credit union owned cooperative based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, recently held its Annual Sales Meeting virtually for the first time. The event, which was originally scheduled to take place on July 31st and August 1st before being cancelled due to travel and event restrictions, was facilitated via a Zoom teleconference and attended by nearly two-dozen team members from four CUSOs. The representatives in attendance were from CUSOs CU*NorthWest, CU*SOUTH, MY CU Services and CU*Answers.
“It seemed like fate was against us having the meeting,” noted Scott Collins, EVP of National Sales and Marketplace Relationships at CU*Answers. “First our in-person event was postponed until 2021 due to the pandemic, and then our initial video conference date had to be postponed due to a hurricane making shore right down the road from our partners at CU*SOUTH. Many thanks to my network partners for their willingness to reschedule this important collaborative event versus canceling altogether.”
“During our time together, each organization’s sales leaders shared both their successes and challenges from the previous year, their outlook for the coming year and brainstorming on ways to be more effective as a network,” Collins continued. “A takeaway from the group was to lock in more calendar dates to meet as a collective sales team during the 2021 campaign, and we have already started that process.”
