CU*Answers CEO looks ahead with executive development series

Randy Karnes, CEO of CU*Answers for the past 25 years, is doing his part to help develop active and engaged executives for the company’s future. Karnes, who will retire in 2022, has begun a program to explore what it means to be an executive within the cooperative culture that’s driven CU*Answers success since 1970.

The Executive Development Series is a collection of conversations between Karnes and participants wanting to explore leadership possibilities at CU*Answers and elsewhere. The sessions are open to all employees as well as anyone in the cuasterisk.com community. Eight different subjects are being explored in 90-minute sessions on a continuous cycle over the next 18 months. Participants can attend these sessions in any order to fit their schedule.

John Beauchamp, Vice President of Professional Services – Imaging Solutions at CU*Answers is one of the participants and is impressed with the diversity of the group. “Folks at all levels in the organization are looking to gain insight into developing their careers,” said Beauchamp. “As usual Randy is thought provoking and the discussions insightful.”

The Executive Development Series is just one example of CU*Answers’ efforts to reveal and nurture the leader within everyone. More than just a CEO succession tool, this program, like many others made available to the cuasterisk.com network takes aim at, as Karnes puts it, “CU*Answers’ success long past this CEO and many more to come.”
