CU*Answers, the 100% credit union-owned cooperative CUSO, recently announced that as part of its CU*BASE® 13.1 Release, it had enhanced its online credit card offering for credit unions signed up with FIS. Credit unions may now enroll members in the FIS card rewards program while also selecting the emboss setting for a new card order via a single CU*BASE screen. Program developers said this capability will reduce the number of screens required for completing multiple processes, and will provide a faster processing experience for serving members.
CU*Answers said participating credit unions may now default the credit card order screen to automatically enroll a member in the card rewards offering. In addition to the card rewards feature, clients participating in FIS’s “SEED” card program can now transfer PIN, card rewards, and mobile alerts information from a historical card (or SEED). Credit unions not participating in the FIS Card Rewards program can still take advantage of the SEED functionality to transfer only PIN and mobile alerts information, assuming that this portion of the services has been enabled with FIS.
CU*BASE clients are providing feedback indicating that by participating in the CU*BASE online credit card offerings they are able to provide their members a wealth of benefits such as viewing credit card transaction history and e-statements via the It’s Me 247 Online Banking system. Credit unions are also benefitting from a wealth of credit union defined credit card promotional offerings, consolidating a member’s regular and credit card statement to a single monthly mailing for postage savings and more.
