Chatter Yak! Offers Social Media Webinars to Financial Institutions

The northeast Wisconsin-based social media and marketing agency, Chatter Yak!, offers bi-monthly Social Media Chats, webinars that help financials maximize their social media investments.

Catered to credit unions and community banks of all sizes, Social Media Chats address subjects ranging from social media basics and best practices to more in-depth topics like compliance and campaign analytics. According to Deb Schaffer, Director of Business Development at Chatter Yak!, Social Media Chats help financial institutions navigate the ever-changing waters of social media. “In our work with credit unions and community banks, Chatter Yak! has been able to prove just how effective a tool social media can be in local banking,” she explained. “Social Media Chats will help financials convert this untapped resource into revenue.”

Each webcast includes training on a featured topic, actionables to help participants apply their training, and an overview of social media trends. An interactive Q&A concludes each webinar. “Participants appreciate this collaborative format,” Schaffer says, “It offers them an opportunity to learn from both the hosts and one another.” For each webinar, Chatter Yak! makes two time-slots available to participants.

Social Media Chat subscriptions are available to financial institutions for $100/month and to members of the cuasterisk.com network for $25/month, a discount made possible by subsidies from Chatter Yak! and its two mutual owners, CU*Answers and Verve, a Credit Union (formerly CitizensFirst Credit Union). According to CU*Answers CEO, Randy Karnes, this discounts stems from the promise of cooperatives to build consumer-focused solutions. “Nothing is more important to CU*Answers than a healthy exchange of ideas between our stake holders. Social Media Chats will help us jump start our network’s investment in social media.”
