CU*SOUTH announced today that Rocket FCU, located in McGregor, Texas, has selected the CUSO and its CU*BASE^® core software to provide the latest technology and enhance member service.

Terry Sloan, CEO of Rocket FCU, says: “The decision to choose CU*SOUTH was threefold. First, we love the business model. Second, the price. We looked at multiple core systems and CU*SOUTH gave us the most bells and whistles for the smallest price. Finally, we saw other credit unions on the system that have grown.”

“The biggest benefit our members will get is what I call the “All for one” benefit,” continued Terry. “It amazes me that when I watch commercials on TV and I see the large financial institutions I think to myself, our credit union can do that.”

Rocket Federal Credit Union was chartered in 1954 and began its operation in the garage of an employee of Phillips 66 Petroleum Company. As the credit union grew, an office was opened in the plant. By 1976, they moved to an office outside the plant and had become a community credit union serving McGregor and the surrounding towns. Rocket FCU is currently a $23 million asset credit union serving 2,700 members.
